Akeredolu wins APC primary, begs losers for support

Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, who is the current governor of Ondo State, after emerging as the winner of the All Progressives Congress primary called on the other aspirants who lost to support him in winning the October 10th governorship election.
According to the PUNCH, Akeredolu claimed the ticket of the APC after squarely defeating the seven other contestants. 
Mr Yahaya Bello, the Kogi State Governor and also the Chairman of the primary, declared that Akeredolu polled 2,725 votes while Chief Olusola Oke came second in the contest, with a scored votes of 262, while Mr Isaac Kekemeke clinged the third position after polling 19 votes.
The governor, who made this known after the primary, held in Akure, the state capital, said the pre-primary campaign was greeted with many issues but there was a need for all to join forces with him for the party to move on.
