The vice president was first seen on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Phase 1 of the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) in Kaduna State.

Less than 72 hours later, Shettima proceeded to Calabar to take part in another groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ).

The SAPZ project is aimed at transforming the agricultural sector through innovations and investments in different regions of the country. Some of the states to benefit from this program are Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, Cross River, Imo, Ogun, Oyo, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
