Nigeria Electoral body, INEC have said that they are setting measures in place for a free and fair election in the Imo North Senatorial by-election which will take place on the 31st of October.

INEC said that in accordance with the time table for the election, all political parties involved in the by-election would have between August 24 and September 8 to hold their primaries.

With all these in place, the Imo North electoral processes would go smoothly and well organized.
