Abibat Tinubu’s father, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a politician who has served as a senator for Lagos West in the Third Republic, a former governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007, and currently the president of Nigeria.

Her mother, Oluremi Tinubu, aside from serving as first lady was an elected member of the senate representing Lagos Central from 6 June 2011 to 11 June 2023. She is also a Christian ordained pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
