According to INEC, the misleading report that the commission will resume the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and replacement of lost Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) on 27th May 2025 is not true.

There are currently no fixed dates. The Commission has not set a date for the CVR.

The statement was presented by Rotimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission. Oyekanmi called on the public to disregard the false narrative.

The report is aimed at informing Nigerians who are eager to engage in the process to disregard the rumoured date.
