Laide Bakare is currently married to Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo. This is her second marriage after her first marriage to US-based businessman Olumide Okufulure failed.
Her first marriage to Olumide Okufulure ended in 2012 after she revealed that he had a secret wife with two children. Laide, who thought Okufulure was a single man, later discovered that he was still legally married to a wife with two kids while they were still married.
Later in 2015, Laide made a report denying ever being married to Olumide Okufulure. According to her, they were not married and were just in a relationship which didn’t later work out.
Olumide came out shortly after to debunk the statements, claiming they were legally married in a court and that she was his only legal wife. He also went on to accuse Laide of being unfaithful and insisted on a DNA test for their only daughter.
