We all know that the Ondo local council election took place on the 22nd of August as previously announced by Yomi Dinakin, the Chairman of the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission, ODIEC.
From reports, 10 political parties were indicated to participate in the election which was conducted in 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
Here are 4 things that happened after the election.
1. Prof Yomi Dinakin, made an announcement regarding the election result on Sunday evening.
2. the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) won 14 seats out of 18 local government areas, while the results in the four remaining wards were declared inconclusive.
3. The party candidates were unopposed in five local government areas which included Akoko North-East, Ose, Odigbo, Ifedore, and Irele.
4. Only seven of 14 registered political parties participated in the exercise.
