The Edo State governorship election is here once again, and President Bola Tinubu has sent a message to all citizens of Edo.
Tinubu called for all stakeholders in the upcoming Edo State governorship elections to be of good conduct throughout the exercise.
This was disclosed in a statement shared on X by the Special Assistant to the President, Frederick Nwabufo, a day before the election.
The Edo state election is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2024.
The President also called on the governorship candidates and political parties involved in the election to respect the democratic process and the will of the people.
The message focused on restoring civility, tolerance, patience, and respect for the rules of the game.
Here are other parts of the statement: “The President commends the governorship candidates and political parties for their campaigns, which have focused on issues that matter most to the people of Edo State, including improving livelihoods, promoting economic growth, and contributing to national development.
He urges all citizens in the state to remain peaceful and respectful throughout the voting process. He encourages them to resolve any disagreements amicably through the constituted authorities.”
