Peter Obi applauds a Canada-based Nigerian ministerial appointment in Canada.

The former governor of Anambra State and the Labour Party presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Peter Obi, has praised the efforts of a Nigerian, Uzoma Chioma Asagwara, as she is appointed the new Health Minister and Deputy Premier of the Province of Manitoba in Canada.

Obi, in a congratulatory post made on his X (formerly Twitter) page, praised Asagwara as being an inspiration to the youths in Nigeria.

He also went on to assure Nigerian youths of a new Nigeria, which, in his terms, is a Nigeria that will see millions of youths succeed as their efforts will not be in vain.

According to Peter Obi, “I sincerely congratulate her for achieving this feat, which can only be earned through hard work, commitment, and dedication to duty. She serves as a lesson in hard work to millions of Nigerian youth.”

“I wish her success in her new position and encourage her to continue to pursue societal progress both in Canada and our country, Nigeria.”

Asagwara was the first black individual to achieve this position in Manitoba.
