Mohammed Bello El-Rufai Biography
Mohammed Bello El-Rufai was born on January 11, 1988, in Kaduna State, where he grew up with his siblings. Bello is the eldest son of a Nigerian politician, Nasir El-Rufai, and his wife, Hadiza Isma El-Rufai.
His father, Nasir El-Rufai, is the former governor of Kaduna State, serving from 2015 to 2023. He is also a co-founding member of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress.

Bello is a well-educated man who is a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree holder. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and International Relations with a minor in Religious Studies from Wheaton College, Massachusetts.

Career
Mohammed Bello El-Rufai started his career as an entrepreneur, working as a manager at Huawei Nigeria. He later co-founded a political action committee known as the Rescue Kaduna Group (RKG) during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2015.
It was in 2015, during the general elections, that Bello started his journey in Nigerian politics. At the time, he was appointed as the Director of Youth Mobilisation for the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO).
From 2019 to 2022, he served as Senior Legislative Aide and Chief of Staff to Senator Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State since 2019.
Career in Politics
With a good start in Nigerian politics and the influence of his father, Mohammed Bello El-Rufai was able to rise to the ranks as a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Bello secured the House of Representatives seat for the Kaduna North Federal Constituency in February 2023. He was able to achieve this feat with 51,052 votes.
He serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Banking Regulations in the 10th Assembly.
