The Rivers State Government has revealed that Governor Siminalayi Fubara will not comply with the 48-hour ultimatum since it had not yet received an official letter conveying the summon.
Recall that the Amaewhule-led Rivers State House of Assembly was said to have summoned Governor Siminalayi Fubara to re-present the 2025 Appropriation Bill to the Assembly.
The House of Assembly gave Fubara 48 hours, which expired today, to bring the appropriation bill following the Supreme Court judgement.
According to a letter addressed to the Right Honourable Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly dated March 5th, the government has not received the said resolutions of the Assembly.
In the letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Tammy Danagogo, the response was based on a letter it came across on social media.
