The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, on Tuesday, visited an erosion site at Umuagu, Nnobi road, along Nnobi-Ideani-Nkpor Federal road.
The governor while accessing the extent of damages caused by the erosion assured residents that his government will begin quick remedial actions to save the area from total collapse.
The gully erosion has made it impossible for motorists to ply that route since the road is a major highway in the state.
Governor soludo went on to stated that the increasing rate of new erosion sites in the state calls for a multi-stakeholder intervention.
According to Soludo, his government are also working with the Federal government and foreign partners to resolve related issues across the state.
