The former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has condemned the actions of the Nigerian police in the ongoing #EndBadGovernaceInNigeria protests.
A post made by Obi on his X account indicated that the former governor passed his condolences to the families of all those that lost their lives in the ongoing protests against bad people.
This means that the Nigerian police didn’t act professionally during the protests and this led to loss of lives. Obi also stated that he has hopes that their demands will not go unanswered.
According to Obi, “I do hope that their legitimate demands, within the law, will not go unanswered. I will continue to urge the protesters to be of good behaviour and remain peaceful in their actions.”
Recall that youths across the country have begun a protest to end bad governance in Nigeria. Many protesters have taken to the streets to declare that they are hungry and tired of the way the economy is going.
