We all know that, 2,111 Ondo PDP delegates were set to elect governorship candidate today.
But no news has been heard concerning the Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party primary election which was meant to elect a standard bearer for the October 10 governorship election.
Note that, this is barely 48 hours after the All Progressives Congress returned Governor Rotimi Akeredolu as its candidate for the upcoming election.
According to the PUNCH, we know that Kola Ologbondiyan, The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, revealed that about “2,111 delegates” from the 18 local government areas of the state would converge on the International Event Centre, Akure, to choose one out of the eight aspirants to contest against Akeredolu of the All Progressive Congress.
The aspirants for the party are Eyitayo Jegede, Agboola Ajayi, Eddy Olafeso, Banji Okunomo, Bode Ayorinde, Sola Ebiseni, Boluwaji Kunlere and Godday Erewa.
