Ibrahim Babangida is a 78 year old former head of state of Nigeria from 1985 until his resignation in 1993.
The former leader was reportedly diagnosed with a condition known as Radiculopathy four years ago.
But some times this year, Babangida was visited by Bala Mohammed, the Bauchi state governor, at his hilltop home in Minna, Niger state.
